April Update – Ratings Predictions

The database update for UFL is drawing near with Season 2 just around the corner, and it brings with it a wave of fresh changes to keep players engaged. As we previously mentioned, you’ll have complete access to all updated data through Scout as soon as the update goes live. This gives you the perfect opportunity to analyze the changes and adjust your strategies accordingly.

We’ve compiled a list of a few players that we expect to receive upgrades in the coming update, whether through improved overall ratings or enhanced individual stats. These adjustments reflect recent real-life performances and could significantly impact team building and gameplay approaches in the new season.

While we do not dare to guess the exact ratings as it’s the first ratings update in UFL’s history, we’ll not put any specific numbers in our list.

Dembélé has been dominating Ligue 1 recently, accumulating a remarkable 12.52 xG—a truly impressive statistic. Once considered the epitome of inconsistency in world football, he’s found his rhythm this season and has been clinical in front of goal, seemingly converting every chance that comes his way. Though Dembélé already boasts a high overall rating, we anticipate his shooting attributes will receive an upgrade to reflect this newfound finishing prowess.

Mock him all you like, but Antony’s transfer to Real Betis has revealed a transformed player. Should he maintain this level of performance, he’s likely to earn at least a modest boost to his overall rating. Many observers suggest that his mental wellbeing significantly impacts his game—raising questions about whether something within the Manchester United environment might have been hampering his abilities during his time there.

While we maintain our reservations about this player given his controversial history, it’s impossible to ignore his exceptional performances for Marseille this season. With an impressive xG of 12.07—remarkably close to Dembélé’s figure—he has undoubtedly been instrumental in propelling Marseille to their current position at #2 in Ligue 1, just 4 wins behind league leaders PSG.

17-year-old Geovany Quenda of Sporting CP has been turning heads across Europe with his exceptional footwork and technical ability. The talented winger’s skill in tight spaces and growing end product have established him as one of Portugal’s most promising young talents. Latest rumors indicate he’s heading to Manchester United for a substantial fee in the range of €40-60M. If the transfer materializes, it would represent another significant investment by United in youth development, though questions remain about how quickly he might adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League. We expect a general rating upgrade here as part of his possible transfer.

Despite Salah already boasting an elite rating of 90, we anticipate he’ll reach the maximum rating of 91 in the upcoming update. He’s currently enjoying his most impressive Premier League campaign yet, maintaining an exceptional average rating of 7.89. Additionally, he’s the frontrunner in the Ballon d’Or race and has accumulated a remarkable xG of 20.84, while finding the net 25 times in just 28 appearances. These outstanding statistics make a compelling case for his elevation to the game’s highest possible rating.

While not technically a pure La Masia product, his arrival at Barcelona in 2018 places him close enough to that prestigious category. The 17-year-old centerback has been drawing significant attention after being entrusted with 22 appearances for the Catalan giants this season. His market value has skyrocketed according to TransferMarkt, showing a remarkable increase of 133.3%, now reaching an estimated valuation of €70M. This meteoric rise reflects both his current abilities and the enormous potential scouts see in the young defender as he continues his development at one of football’s most storied clubs.

Despite being in the latter stages of his football career, Chris Wood has proven himself as one of the key contributors to Nottingham Forest’s surprising third-place position in the Premier League. Maintaining a solid 7.08 average rating throughout the season, the veteran striker has demonstrated that age is just a number when it comes to clinical finishing and intelligent positioning. Based on his consistent performances and goal-scoring form, we anticipate both his overall rating and individual attributes will receive meaningful upgrades in the upcoming update.

Rayan Cherki – if you haven’t heard of this talent, you’ve clearly been missing out on football gaming for the past few years. At just 21 years old, he’s finally delivering on his immense potential this season in Ligue 1. Boasting an impressive 7.65 average rating and contributing 4 assists in only 7 matches, his impact on the field is undeniable. Given these performances, we anticipate Cherki will receive a noticeable upgrade, pushing his overall rating above the coveted 80 threshold, accompanied by improvements across his statistical categories.

Another standout performer at PSG this season, Neves has cemented his place in the squad and is showcasing a highly creative dimension to his game. With an impressive 7 assists in just 15 appearances and maintaining a consistent overall rating of 7.32 throughout the campaign, we fully expect his in-game rating to climb closer to that of his Portuguese midfield compatriot Vitinha. His evolution into a more attack-minded playmaker while maintaining his defensive solidity makes him one of the most complete midfielders in Ligue 1 this season.

Twelve matches without conceding a single goal? That undoubtedly merits some well-deserved upgrades. Young goalkeeper James Trafford at Burnley FC has been enjoying a spectacular season, demonstrating exceptional shot-stopping ability and commanding his area with confidence beyond his years. Given his remarkable run of clean sheets, he could emerge as one of the premier goalkeeper options in Season 2’s meta. Players looking for a reliable last line of defense should keep a close eye on his possible updated rating when the new season launches.

Of course, there are many more to consider when creating these lists. So, let us know – who are you expecting or hoping to receive an upgrade?
