What a week it’s been at UFL Scout! Despite facing initial technical hurdles during our migration, we’ve pushed through and resolved those challenges. But that’s not all – we recently sat down with Strikerz for what turned out to be an incredibly productive meeting.
During our discussion, we got clarity on several important topics that have been on the community’s mind. The conversation was open and constructive, and now we’re ready to share all these valuable insights with you. Let’s dive into what we learned!
Assets
We’re preparing for major additions that will bring our database to near-complete parity with the game content. With this development, we will be sunsetting our Scout Photographer and Scout Collector programs tonight. We want to express our sincere thanks to all Scouts who have contributed – your dedication has been invaluable. More info on this coming very soon.
The Leveler Formula
During our meeting with Strikerz, we learned something important about player development: there’s no fixed formula for calculating levels and upgrades. What this means is that while we can see the levels in-game, we can’t work out the calculations ourselves because each player’s growth depends on many different factors in the game.
The level information you see submitted at Scout on current players is accurate, but predicting future levels isn’t possible since the system treats each player uniquely. When we asked Strikerz if they could disclose more details about how this system works, they said they’d look into whether this information could be shared with us. More updates to come here.
For now, while predictions remain uncertain, Scout Leveler will remain open as our community database tool for tracking player levels.
Skins and stars, what do they mean?
Let’s address the most pressing topic in the game right now – the skin system. Many players have been wondering: what’s the significance of those stars? The answer is quite fascinating.
Let’s start with a crucial fact – the skins are functional. While their in-game impact might be subtle in most situations (which Strikerz acknowledges and plans to enhance), there’s more to understand about their mechanics. The star system doesn’t correspond to fixed numerical boosts. Instead, these effects influence multiple in-game parameters rather than just one value, which explains why they’re not visible in the player card’s detailed statistics.
Take the Flareonix skin for Darwin as an example. This skin features four stars in Positioning, but its influence extends beyond the basic Attack Positioning stat. It actually affects various related parameters within the game engine’s calculations. While Strikerz will likely provide more detailed information in the future, there isn’t currently a simple numerical value to represent these enhancements.
Upcoming database update
The player database will be receiving an update when Season 2 launches. Selected players will see changes to their ratings, prices, and other attributes based on how they’ve performed in real life.
We’re pleased to share that UFL Scout has secured a gentleman’s agreement to receive this updated player data once it’s ready. This means when these changes go live in-game, you’ll be able to find all the new information on our website immediately. Whether it’s new ratings, adjusted market values, or modified attributes, you’ll have instant access to these updates through Scout’s database.
Ads on Scout
Scout continues to expand, and to help support our growing server and hosting costs, we’ll be introducing advertisements to the website. We’re taking a careful approach – all ads will be monitored to ensure they don’t interfere with your browsing experience or block any essential content.
As a special thank you to our early supporters, we’re honoring our commitment: all Beta/Early Access users will receive lifetime ad-free access to Scout. When the ad system launches, these users will be able to activate their ad-free experience directly through their profile settings. This is our way of showing appreciation for your early support and confidence in our project.
This concludes our big announcement. UFL has a very exciting future ahead, and we are happy to be onboard helping the players connect with the game.
Thank you!
