What is taking time?

Developing a PC version comes with unique challenges compared to consoles due to several key factors:

  • Anti-Cheat Solutions: Developing a PC version requires robust anti-cheat measures due to the greater access players have to game files and the increased vulnerability of the code. To prevent exploits and ensure fair play, Strikerz has emphasized that they are implementing extensive security measures and refining their anti-cheat systems before the game’s official launch.
  • Hardware and Performance Optimization: Unlike consoles, which have fixed hardware, PCs come in a wide range of configurations, from high-end gaming rigs to budget-friendly setups. This makes optimization significantly more complex, as the game must run smoothly across various processors, graphics cards, and operating systems.
  • Consistency Across Versions: With the console versions already released, they naturally remain a top priority for ongoing updates and improvements. A significant amount of resources is likely dedicated to refining gameplay, balancing mechanics, and addressing feedback.

Will there be crossplay?

Strikerz has confirmed that crossplay between PC and console will not be supported. However, console players will still be able to compete against each other as usual. This decision was generally received as appreciated, as it helps maintain fair competition given the differences in controls, gameplay mechanics, and potential advantages between platforms.

Will keyboard be supported?

Yes, it will! In a recent Gamereactor interview, it was confirmed that you’ll be able to play using either a keyboard and mouse or a controller. While most players will probably stick with a controller for comfort and familiarity—especially in a football game—it’s great to have the option for those who prefer keyboard setups.

That’s everything we know so far about the PC version of UFL. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more details emerge. In the meantime, don’t forget to add UFL to your Steam Wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3023930/UFL/
